Licensure

The Iowa Board of Physician Assistants evaluates the qualifications of applicants for licensure and grants licenses to those who qualify.

The Board establishes rules and regulations to ensure the integrity and competence of licensed Physician Assistants and investigates complaints of unprofessional conduct.

The Board is the link between the consumer and the licensed Physician Assistant and, as such, promotes the public health, welfare and safety.

For questions relating to Licensure, please contact the Iowa Department of Public Health by visiting their website (click here) or by contacting them by phone at (515) 281-4401
