The IPAS Lifetime Achievement Award is the Society’s most prestigious award, recognizing an individual for lifetime achievement that has had a broad and significant impact on the profession. Nominees do not necessarily need to be a PA or an Academy member.

2025 PA OF THE YEAR

Anthony Brenneman, MPAS, PA-C


Anthony Brenneman was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the IPAS 2025 Fall Conference in recognition of his outstanding contributions to clinical practice, interdisciplinary education, PA advocacy, and service. 


Beyond his professional accomplishments, PA Brenneman is known for his kind-hearted, supportive, and genuinely empathetic nature—qualities that embody the very spirit of the Physician Assistant profession.

The Iowa PA of the Year Award honors a physician assistant who exemplifies excellence in patient care, leadership, advocacy, and community service within the state of Iowa.


Qualifications: The candidate must be an IPAS member and serve the Iowa community.
